Klay Thompson to the 76ers for Noel and other pieces has been proposed by some media members, yet it makes little to no sense:
- Nerlens Noel’s contract ends after this season.
- The Warriors simply would not have the cap space to warrant signing Noel after their inevitable deep playoff run. He would essentially be a rental for a few months.
- The Warriors can get way more from other teams.
- Trading Klay Thompson is a very big deal, he is an All-Star and one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA, so an above average backup center is not a great return.
